This is a Miriam song which was publicized by a machaneh peula at Miriam
in 1995. This past summer, Alison Dewis and I (Ian Disend) tried to give
it some life at Tavor. I can't confirm who actually wrote it.
Note from Robert Matas:
the bunk bed song, submitted by Ian Disend, was written by Daniel Mate,
in the summer of 1995.
You may be sleeping on the bottom of a big bunk bed
Some jerk is always stepping on your head
You haven't seen the ceiling for so long
Or you may sleep on the top, way up off the ground
The forces of gravity pulling you down
You've got to climb up to sleep, and that's just wrong...
[Refrain, but there are no more verses]
We all have to sleep, so why not sleep together?
I'll make room for you, and you'll make room for me-ee
This bunk bed is mine, but it's your bunk bed too.
So let's all sleep together comfortably.
