The greatest reunion ever was held at Habonim Dror Camp Moshava on August 27, 2000 in Bel Air, Maryland. The glorious summer weather brought out over 400 Mosh alumni. Each and every Mosh alumna found someone he/she hadn't seen in years. Funny how everyone looks so good! The oldest alum, Harry Cohen, attended Mosh during its infancy. We won't say how many years ago that was but it was before Annapolis Mosh. The youngest, Danny Feinberg, is currently an amel at Bel Air Mosh. He was attending with his mother, Wendy Garson, who attended Mosh in the '60s and '70s.
The day began with Mifkad Boker, led by the fearless Steve Schrier who
was Rosh Mosh in the '60s. (Funny, he seemed much scarier when
we were
younger). The seder yom, understandably flexible because of all the
attendees
and the constant schmoozing, continued with Shira, Rikudai Am,
Makhela,
Kumsitz and Sports. The rain held off until a very emotional
Mifkad Erev led
by current parent and alum, Allan Pristoop and Mosh's famous Business
Manager, Rachel Glaser.
The word of the day was definitely SHMOOZ! People had to catch up on
the
many years that have passed. Peulot were expectedly difficult
to conduct
because of all the background yacking. The current Mosh madrichim
came out
in great numbers to help and catch a peek at us old folks having fun.
What
they saw was a vibrant group of adults who haven't lost their Mosh
ruah!
